College (DRAMA)

Well it has been quite some time since I have been on here and as I'm sure that you could imagine there has been a crap load of (nice word for it) crap that has happened. I am now attending snow college in Ephraim Utah, and I am loving just about everything aside from the drama that comes with living with five other girls. I'm not kidding we spent the first week fighting and things are still weird, this one feels entitled, that girl is OCD I swear! Well this girl has had just about enough, i mean its like freaking world war three here but in covert ops, because we don't trust each other enough to share our nights, so instead we hide in our room and whisper to our room mate, but that room mate tells the other roommates and then every one finds out and its just a huge mess. Anyway I am living down here with my sister and we share a room, and Cari and Josie are downstairs and upstairs across from us are Syd and Dru. I think there is a reason we call her Syd, remember that sloth, ya...
Other than the Drama though life has been ok, mom and dad have moved into their house Jenna is sick she just got the croup. She is sooo sad that she is missing school. I wish i felt that way about school.
As generic as possible this is all you will be getting from me now. Cya later!!!

LDS women encouraged to care for each other at annual meeting
September 25th, 2010 @ 9:19pm
By Carole Mikita
SALT LAKE CITY -- Millions of Latter-day Saint women around the world gathered for their annual meeting Saturday.

The General Relief Society Conference originated from the Conference Center in Salt Lake City. Messages came from the women leaders of the organization and Church President Thomas S. Monson.

Carried by satellite in 82 languages to 175 countries, nations and territories, the General Relief Society meeting for more than 6 million women focused on its history and purpose. Relief Society General President Julie B. Beck said society holds onto misperceptions about Latter-day Saint women.

"In this day of mistaken identities, confusion and distraction, Relief Society is a compass and guide to teach the truth to faithful women." -Julie B. Beck"Prevailing myths imply that we are of lower importance than men, that we are generally sweet but uninformed, and that no matter what we do, we will never be enough to be accepted by our Heavenly Father," she said. "In this day of mistaken identities, confusion and distraction, Relief Society is a compass and guide to teach the truth to faithful women."

Other leaders encouraged women to serve in whatever stage of life they may be living.

"You don't have to be married to keep the commandments and to nurture families, friends and neighbors," said Silvia H. Allred, First Counselor in the Relief Society General Presidency. "Your gifts, talents, skills and spiritual strengths are greatly needed in building up the kingdom."

In their worldwide sisterhood, the women were reminded to care for one another.

"We have taught one another the gospel, we have cried together, laughed together, solved problems together, and I have been lifted and blessed," said Barbara Thompson, Second Counselor in the Relief Society General Presidency.

Using the Relief Society motto, "Charity Never Faileth," President Thomas S. Monson spoke of not judging others.

"Mother Teresa, a Catholic nun who worked among the poor in India most of her life, spoke this profound truth: 'If you judge people, you have no time to love them.' The Savior has admonished, 'This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you.' I ask, can we love one another as the Savior has commanded if we judge each other?" he said. "I answer with Mother Teresa, no, we cannot."

President Monson asked that they be guided with the timeless truth that charity is the love of Christ.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' General Conference meetings will take place next weekend. Sessions will begin at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The General Priesthood Session will take place on Saturday at 6 p.m.

Kelly, Brodcasts, Super Dell, and the holy ghost.

Today is Saturday and was super crazy, I got up at seven and took a shower and went to my grandma's because my dad was at work and my mom went to my neighbors sealing to their newest members of the family Justin 8, Dennis 4 and Tiffany 4. Supper cute kids! I got ready for work and things went very smooth for me until I rang up A Mr. Super Dell and his family at my register, I didn't know it was him and when I asked for his name he looked at me in a Haughty Super hero way and said chest popped out "My name is Super Dell" I was caught in a mixture of emotions, Embarrassment for him, Hysterics for the way he obviously loves himself, and wariness because what I had heard about this man. I know it isn't right to judge and in no way will I try to justify what I thought but I couldn't help but look away and walk away awkwardly to get his drinks to calm down a little bit. Work ended at three and everything went great got home got dressed and went to the General Relief Society's Broadcast and was thoroughly humbled at the power of the spirit and president Manson's talk.(Didn't see it? I will post it when I find it) It was amazing though. I came home and helped my family through my little sisters new bed room set together and now am posting.
I Learned so much about Kelly on Thursday about one of the disabilities she has and when her birthday is, about her mother now deceased and how she passed. Her dad and her step mother, her sisters and brothers and how supportive they all are and her obvious love for them. I learned her room mates names and what they looked like and now I have a fantastic ideas of what to get her for Christmas and her birthday I'm supper excited! She is so smart and funny, and I love her already. Its amazing I am just realizing the effects she is already having on my life. wow.

The spirit is an amazing thing. I just had an amazing experience, wow. It sort of makes the rest of my week fade and all my stresses go away.
It is officially late in BST(Bradie Standard Time) so I am going to post this and take a little comfort in my comforter night!
PS I think Debate should be a required class for all kids in high school. Night!
